Agile Development Process :

For certain applications which need quick turn around and in which one phase is independent of another from operations point of view Agile Development Methodology is an ideal framework. Here the emphasis is on time frame and product delivery in a phase wise manner.
Process :
Requirement analysis :
During requirement analysis, BT Project Manager interacts with you to understand the requirements and scope of the project to find best possible solution for your business.

Assigning priority :
After gathering the requirement, it is broken into modules and priorities are assigned to these modules.
Requirements are prioritized as follows:
High : Critical requirements that have to be done in the first release.
Medium : Requirements which are important but can be carried out later once the product is implemented.
Low : Requirements which are not critical to the operation of software and can be carried out in the end.

Once prioritized, the release versions are planned. The most critical requirements form part of the 1st phase of development (Release 1.0). Features can be dropped or added and priorities can be reassigned to go into the release anytime before quality assurance.

Steps during each phase:
Step 1 - System Design
Step 2 - Application Development
Step 3 - Testing
Step 4 - Implementation

Advantages of the Agile Development Model:
The System Design phase goes much faster, because our main focus is on current release only.
Since fewer items are to be coded and tested, the overall time spent on a phase is reduced to a great extent.
You can get the first release in less than 3 months, which enables you to begin earning revenue or reducing expenses with the product.
After the implementation of first release, you can ask for new requirements to be included in the next release.
Real time communication between BT and your organization ensures quick, rapid development of useful software.
